Titanic LIBRARY - Artifacts Before and AfterShip's Bell

This image is a photo of
the ship's bell on the ocean bottom before recovery. This bell is likely the bell signaled
by lookout Frederick Fleet when he saw the iceberg that would sink the Titanic.

ship's bell after recovery in 1987. Note the difference in corrosion (shown by the line
from the upper right of the bell to the lower left) due to decades of laying in the
